In 1962, the McGill Rose Garden opened to the public for the first time on Mother's Day. Now an annual tradition, the celebration welcomes Spring with hundreds of family members joining in the festivities at the garden.
On November 10, 2007, McGill Rose Princesses ages four to ten, were appointed by Joy McGill as official ambassadors of the McGill Rose Garden. Princesess were escorted by their fathers, uncles, brothers, guardians and friends.
During the McGill Open House held on Dec. 1, Presbyterian Hospice & Palliative Care also sold wreaths and garland. Proceeds from the sales benefitted the Harris Hospice Unit chapel renovation.
